Sentry Audio Video: Control4 centralized lighting and smart-home prewire

This residence brings electrical work and smart-home infrastructure together during construction. Genesis Group FL performed the electrical work, and sister company Sentry Audio Video handled the Control4 centralized lighting and smart-home prewire. The photographs show the installation during rough-in, before the walls are closed.
The project illustrates why the electrical and technology teams need to coordinate enclosure locations, cable routes and access early. This feature documents the electrical and technology scope shown in the photographs.

A kitchen, addition or whole-home renovation brings many decisions into the same space. A cabinetry elevation affects outlets, plumbing, appliance connections and lighting. A ceiling design affects air distribution, speakers and access. A new opening affects structure as well as the way a room looks. We organize those relationships in the construction scope before finished materials make changes more disruptive.

Explore condominium renovationsYour project starts with the property location, the work you want to accomplish, your timing and any drawings or prior construction records. We review those details to establish the right next step. The written proposal should define responsibilities, inclusions, exclusions, allowances and the process for changes.
During construction, organized communication connects field conditions to owner decisions. Review points should cover outstanding selections, changes to the agreed scope, upcoming trade work and the documentation needed for the next stage. At completion, a coordinated walkthrough helps identify remaining details and the information the owner needs for the finished property.
For an unfinished project, the starting point is different: establish the condition of the work, available documents and the responsibilities to be assumed before committing to a completion plan. Explore residential project recovery or commercial project recovery.
