Restore Control

Take Over the Project. Correct the Work. Finish With Confidence.

An abandoned renovation, delayed construction project or installation completed below expectations can leave a homeowner facing uncertainty, hidden conditions and mounting costs. Genesis Group FL evaluates the work already completed, identifies the remaining scope and builds a practical recovery plan under a new written agreement.

Abandoned or Stalled Projects

Projects where the original contractor stopped showing up, missed repeated milestones or can no longer complete the work.

Defective Workmanship

Visible construction defects, poorly installed materials and work requiring correction before the project can proceed.

Unfinished Luxury Renovations

Kitchen, bathroom, condominium and whole-home renovations that need an experienced team to organize and complete them.

Trade & Inspection Problems

Unfinished electrical, plumbing, HVAC or building-system work, open permits and construction that may need correction before inspection.

Our Process

A Disciplined Project-Recovery Plan

01

Initial Evaluation

We review current conditions, completed work, plans, contracts, permit records and inspection history that are available.

02

Deficiency Assessment

We identify visible deficiencies and determine where licensed trade, engineering or design-professional review may be needed.

03

Corrective Scope

We prepare a proposed scope for repairs, unfinished construction and the remaining work required to reach completion.

04

Managed Completion

Once retained, Genesis coordinates the agreed construction, applicable permits, inspections, trades, scheduling and completion.

Luxury Property Protection

More Than a Quick Repair

Taking over an existing renovation requires careful investigation. Previous work may conceal conditions that cannot be confirmed until selective demolition, testing or additional professional review occurs. Genesis focuses on protecting the property, documenting visible deficiencies, establishing realistic expectations and creating one accountable path toward completion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Residential Contractor Takeovers

Can Genesis take over a project started by another contractor?

Yes. We can evaluate an unfinished project and determine whether Genesis can accept responsibility for a clearly defined corrective and completion scope under a new agreement.

Can you repair poor workmanship?

We can assess visible workmanship concerns and propose appropriate repairs or replacement work. Structural, concealed or code-related concerns may require additional professional evaluation.

What if permits remain open under the previous contractor?

Permit transfers, contractor changes and inspection requirements must be reviewed with the applicable building department before work proceeds. Genesis can coordinate the process for the scope it agrees to undertake.

Will Genesis warranty the previous contractor’s work?

Warranty coverage and responsibility are defined in the new written agreement. Existing work is not automatically covered because Genesis takes over the project.
